424 Market Street
Originally built in 1890, we gave a modern facelift to this historic building in San Diego, adding new walls around the perimeter of the basement and constructing two structural steel moment frame walls from the first floor to the roof. We also added a fourth floor and outdoor space to give the building a sleek, contemporary finish.

Project Details
We completed a seismic upgrade and historic renovation to a building that was built in 1890. The original building was three stories of unreinforced masonry. We added two shotcrete sheer walls around the entire perimeter of the basement. We also constructed two structural steel moment frame walls from the first floor to the roof. A fourth floor and outdoor space were also added to the building.
