The existing building was a two-story wood structure with glass curtain walls. Bycor added water source heat pumps that are fed from a central plant. A new 1600amp switch gear and two 800amp distribution panels were added to feed the new suite. A lighting control panel was installed with 80% of the fixtures being LED. The project had exposed roof structure, mechanical, electrical and plumbing throughout the open space. Conference rooms and executive rooms were built with eight-foot frameless glass walls and herculite doors. To help with sound masking the open ceilings were sprayed with acoustic “popcorn” which was very cost effective and worked well with the modern design. All HVAC units were installed with isolation springs and boots to help reduce noise.
